A fine bicolor sapphire from Madagascar. Very well-shaped for an oval, exceptionally large and well-formed for this locality. The rough surface obscures the interior somewhat, but with oil and light the gem appears eyeclean. Purchased as unheated, though this cannot be verified with certainty in the rough state and therefore cannot be guaranteed.
